WHAT OUR FAMILIES ARE SAYING ABOUT US!

Best School in the Area!

I have both my kids in this school and I'm very happy because they love their school and their teacher. By the way, the teacher is the owner of the school so you don't get a bored 20 year old "teacher" taking care of your kids. She is very enthusiastic, full on energy and new ideas and with a deep knowledge of the Montessori method. This is not a day care with the Montessori name - and it is the best investment we have made in our children's education!

Wish we found this school sooner!

We enrolled our two children in Little Lambs last fall. Not knowing anything about Montessori Schools, we were just not too sure about how it would go, but we were certain it would be better than the “pre-school/day-care” our children were currently attending. What a pleasant surprise and wonderful experience! Both of our kids love the school and the staff. They have learned and grown at levels beyond what we imagined. “Miss Toni” and her team provide a nurturing, caring, learning environment where our children can grow without limits. We only wish we had discovered Little Lambs sooner.!

This school is a rare find and is cherished by us!

I am amazed at the commitment and creativity that is poured into the classroom and into our daughter's learning experiences. She has blossomed before our eyes in a short period of time. She does circles around other children her age with her abilities to do things that they have not been exposed to in a traditional daycare setting. At age two she can almost count to ten, read me a story and remember the words I read to her, feed herself in a neat sophisticated way, wash her dishes in the sink, and use a vocabulary that is typical of a much older child. I would recommend the Montessori school for any one that is looking for a customized education for their child. The staff is able to challenge her in a way that is beneficial. This school is a rare find and is cherished by us!

I wanted to briefly share my experiences having my child take part in Montessori education taught by Toni Schneider and Molly Luterbach.  My daughter started at the Montessori school at age 2 1/2 and has really thrived in the environment at the Montessori school.  I think the curriculum fosters independence and creativity, and the staff are very loving and genuinely care about the overall well-being of my child.  My daughter always looks forward to going to school and loves the children and teachers.  She has not only advanced in the traditional academic sense, but also likes to take part in activities at home such as tidying up and cleaning areas such as playrooms, helping with meal preparation, etc.  Taking pride in these activities of daily living in part stems from activities she takes part in at school.  I also believe that the school is a more personal experience than larger preschools.  I would highly recommend Montessori education by Toni and Molly.

"As most parents would say, our daughter never ceases to amaze us with the things she does and says. But, since she has started school at Little Lambs Montessori, we have noticed that those things are even more remarkable.  Her abilities to think through and perform complex tasks is well beyond her years and her language development has skyrocketed.  We couldn't be more pleased with her education thus far and she loves her school. I have been a Nanny for a now 3 1/2 yr old for 15 mos. and she has been enrolled in Miss Toni's Montessori program since I came on board.  During this time I have seen remarkable progression in her learning and development. She is an independent child who seems to thrive and progress in this environment.  I credit the patient, caring and delightful personalities of Miss Toni and her assistant, Miss Molly.  As I drop her off and pick her up every morning, I witness the excitement of all the children getting to school.  On several occasions when I have come into the classroom or helped for various reasons, the atmosphere of the classroom has been happy, well behaved, and very positive.  Many independent skills are apparent whether the kids are outside, in the classroom or on field trips.  I was especially impressed at conferences that I attended with Mama, when I watched biscuits being prepared, cooked and served, not to mention the tea prepared and served to me by a 3 1/2 yr. old.  What was so rewarding to me was to see how proud she was to have these accomplishments!!!!  After raising 3 of my own children and having a chance to influence this special life, I would highly recommend this Montessori school and the program Miss Toni has set up.

Chloe started with Little Lambs Montessori approximately one year ago.

I was told from early on that my daughter is very bright, but socially she had a very hard time feeling secure.

She was very shy and very afraid of other children, especially boys.

Initially the transition was very difficult but it did not take long for me to notice a difference in her abilities.

She is more articulate, confident and assertive.  She is actually quite "bossy" going into her second year of Montessori methods.

As a 3 year old, she can spell and write her name.  She is so proud of herself and her accomplishments.  She no longer allows other children to assert themselves upon her.

I love the Montessori philosophy. I am very grateful my daughter has had the opportunity to experience this method.

Toni Schneider, the director, genuinely cares about our children and is a friend and confidant.  I trust her and believe in her and Molly's direction.

It is a great place for my oldest child and I will be enrolling my youngest when she is old enough to be enrolled.

Our son Bo matured right before our very eyes.  He came to Little Lambs shy and unsure about other kids his age, and usually cried when he was dropped off.  As time past, he became comfortable and confident, and looked forward to learning new things every day.  During his two years, we saw his speech improve, his learning curve soar, and he is polite and courteous thanks to his teachers and the daily life lessons.

With Bo turning five in August, we were unsure about holding him back from Kindergarten classes.  But now, because of two wonderful years at Little Lambs with Toni and Molly, there is no hesitation…he is more than ready!

My daughter, Chloe Rauch, has been in Toni Schneider's Montessori school system for over 2 years.

When she first began she was timid and shy.  Toni has been nothing but patient, kind and loving to Chloe.
As a result, my husband and I have seen a world of improvement in Chloe both in social skills and academics.
At 4 years old she is beginning to read.  She is a polite, respectfully young girl which I know is being reinforced in Toni's care.
I know from personal experience, Toni loves the children in her care as if they were her own.  My daughter adores, Toni and Molly, and speaks very highly of both.
Toni and her staff are respectful and considerate to my husband and I as parents and politely offers advise when requested or as needed.
I am beginning my second child at 24 months this June.  If I didn't have the utmost confidence in Toni as a person and as a teacher, I certainly wouldn't put my second child in her care.  I look forward to watching my daughter, Lexie, advance with leaps and bounds as Chloe did.
I am a realtor in the Lake Country area.  I highly recommend Oconomowoc Montessori to any and all of my clients children and will continue to do so in the future.

Prior to attending Oconomowoc Montessori, Nicholas was shy, reserved and very much still a "baby" in terms of his maturity and communication.  Although the first couple of weeks was quite a transition for Nicholas since I was a stay at home Mom up until that point, he quickly adjusted to the routine and shortly after starting, looked forward to going.  Nicholas' personality has blossomed!  His maturity and independence has grown experientially!  Not only that but prior to coming to Oconomowoc Montessori Nicky would not use his words to communicate.  Now he is able to request what he wants and is able to put full sentences together and he communicates very well.  Which I feel alleviates frustration and anger a child can feel.
We love Ms. Toni, Ms. Molly and Ms. Shelly.  And you can tell all love the children in the school love them right
back!
The decision to enroll Nicholas has never been second-guessed.

My son Michael has been in the Oconomowoc Montessori for 6 months and already has shown improvements on many fronts.  His speech is much improved, going from mumbling and baby talk to full sentences. He can count to twenty.  He is much more independent in terms of personal care and household tasks.  He has finally mastered potty training too!  The small size and personal attention really individualizes his teaching and lets him be his own person.  Miss Toni and Miss Molly do a great job with the kids and have many creative ways of teaching.  I think he will be ready to transition to elementary school despite being young in his class.  I am very happy with the education he is getting.

My child currently attends Oconomowoc Montessori School.

Toni Schneider the teacher/owner of Oconomowoc Montessori School is a loving teacher who throws her heart and soul into her children.  The children at school are loved, free to be themselves, and thrive in an academically well established school.  She makes sure the school stays on routine, but is flexible and patient to the demands of young children.  I have seen Toni on numerous occasions deal with difficult children.  She is very calm, patient, and always handles the situation appropriately.  Her main way of disciplining the children is redirecting them to focus on something else.  During some frustrating situations, I have witnessed Toni handle it with pure tolerance and enduring patience.  Toni’s ability to talk through the problem with the children and get them to identify the feelings they have is key to her success as a teacher.  One of her strengthens is how she gets down on the child’s level and sees eye to eye with the children.  Toni always treats the children with the dignity and respect of an adult.  Any child would be blessed to have her as a teacher.  She truly is looking out for the best interest of the children.  Her energy radiates off her and you can feel the passion she has for children.  One can easily see the love and respect the children have for her.  She is a blessing to all the children at Oconomowoc Montessori School and we are all lucky to have her.

Melissa (February 2010)

Miss Toni has served as our daughter’s preschool teacher
for the past two years and we have been very pleased with our experience.  We are very lucky to have someone who truly cares for and loves our child as much as someone would for a family member.  She respects the children for who they are and encourages them to grow in their own way rather than trying to have them conform to one ideal.

We are lucky to find such a great teacher and caregiver for our child.

Sincerely,

Meridith, (February 2010)
